About Mandy...
I’ve always been active in sports, and gymnastics in particular was a big part of my life for 15 years. However, it came at a cost. Because of the level of skill and intensity I competed in I was constantly in pain. I saw many different specialists and tried many different therapies, but in the end the only way to get out of pain was to stop participating in the sport I loved. This was obviously devastating after devoting so much time and effort to something I loved.
However, I believe it was one of the best things in my life because it also led to this incredible career I have. It fueled a desire in me to help others overcome pain that limits their ability to participate in life the way they want to. I love helping people learn to function better, take away their pain, and improve their quality of life. Hearing stories from my clients of being able to do things they’ve never done before - or haven’t been able to do in a long time - is so gratifying. I’ve also seen how improving a person’s physical state also dramatically improves their mental and emotional state too.
Of course, it’s not only those with physical limitations that I enjoy working with; I’m a very competitive person and have a lot of fun working with those who want to push their bodies to achieve strength or speed goals. I love to workout and do all sorts of obstacle races, and very much enjoy doing them with family and friends. I’ve placed in my age group at numerous 5K races and have successfully completed several Spartan races.
All of this is to say that no matter what your physical need, I most likely have the experience and successful track record to help you. Additionally, if I feel like your needs are above my abilities I have no hesitation in being honest with you about it.
